About the Conference
Justice Conference: Traditional Family & Community Relationships
In Partnership, the Yorkton Tribal Council (YTC), Touchwood Agency Tribal Council (TATC), and the File Hills Qu’Appelle would like to invite you to a provincial gathering that will focus on traditional family and community relationships. The themes of the topics are sharing, caring, protecting, keeping, teaching, and preparing.
This gathering will be focused on relationships, family violence, violence against woman and children, and the roles and responsibilities we have within our families and communities to reduce, prevent, and eliminate violence for our next generations. In the past, we did a similar event which was well attended and well received.
The three Tribal Councils have partnered together to coordinate this gathering.
This gathering will feature a daily keynote address and followed by either breakout sessions or panels to discuss targeted topics.

The Topics include:
- Community Lawmaking
- Restorative Justice
- Domestic Violence Court
- Family Needs and supports
- Traditional Parenting
- Inter-generational Effects and Colonialism
- Best Practices
- Roles of the Family; Men, Women, and Children
- Community Champions
